oh - sweet cupcake!!

Hi Stampers!!

I busted out a little cutie for you today!  I took my inspiration from cupcake wars that I watched the other night.  The cupcake was green tea flavor with a fondant cherry blossom on top - looked pretty - don't think the flavor would be that great though.  Wanna see?

The card base is soft suede - are you feeling the love I have for soft suede?  lol!!  I punched three flowers out of soft suede and adhered them down to give a "faux" dry emboss look.  Can you see that in the picture?

Wanna closer look at that adorable cupcake that was punched with the build a cup cake punch??  How genius is this combo in a stamp set/punch????

Gotta with you later ;)

Because I Care.....

Hi All!!

Guess What?????  I got to stamp again!!!   Whooohoooooo!!!!!!!  I have a whole basket of new goodies from the Occasions Mini that cry out to me.  I have to say one of the first sets I was drawn to in the new mini was Nature Walk.  I absolutley love the artsy-ness of it....the realistic images...the delicate beauty of nature.  I just love it!!!!  I started this one with the sketch from Stamping 411.

I really liked the wide open space at the top of the sketch....perfect for a linen technique I have been wanting to do with this set.  Wanna see what I did with it?

The card base is soft suede.  I stamped the egg stamp along the bottom stamping off with soft suede ink.  The no.147 stamp if regular soft suede.  Don't you love the text page???  I sure do!  It is from First Edition in the Occasions Mini - this paper is so awesome - it is thinner, more like regular old text pages.

The sentiment is from the level one hostess set, Because I care.  The main image is where the fun begins.  I stamped the images randomly all over tissue paper.  I then balled it all up in a wad....then carefully smoothed it out.  It is adhered to a piece of very vanilla with stampin up's glue stick. After the glue dried, I ran the image through my big shot with the new Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.

Before adhering the card together, I used the tea stain ink pad from the distressing kit to age my papers and card stock.  I then accented it with some seam binding ribbon in cherry cobbler and a button from the neutrals button collection.

With all my heart......

HI Stampers!!!

long time, no chat, huh?  sorry about life has been so hectic lately that i can't seem to catch a minute.  the hubby brike his ankle the night before thanksgiving and had surgery and is now laid up at home for 16-18 weeks....i thought that might give me a little more time to myself....NOT!!!!!  what i didn't realize that i was going to take on his responsibilities as well as my normal stuff........i really need to get a pool boy or a gardener.  do you think my hubby would go for that since we live in western pennsylvania, it is winter, and we don't have a pool!!!  i could have them do the "manly" stuff around here.  you know, carry the laundry up two flights of stairs to be put away.....push my dishwasher around (yes - we still are in the stone age of portable dishwashers.....but i would give it up for anything- i hate to do dishes!).......oh yeah and then the really manly stuff like keep the sidewalks shoveled, take out the get the picture?  lol!!!

well....anyway - i have a little eye candy for you today.

i started with the mojo monday sketch for a little....ok - a lot - of inspiration ;)

things to note about this little cutie - i used the lots of love letterpress plate on the background with pretty in pink craft ink.  i bough tthis a long time ago and this was the first time i was able to use it....i gotta say - i am lovin the letterpress plates!  glimmer brads - oh my - what's not to love about them????  i paper pieced the little dress - talk about fussy cutting - but i like the look in the end.  i think these little greeting card kids are adorable....and i gotta say - faces usually don't do it for me at all on stamps....but i really was drawn to this set.  bitty buttons - how cute are they???

be on the lookout - i have a stamp camp brewing using the new cupcake stamp set and punch as well as soon product shares!!!
