PCS High Tea Blog Hop

*NOTE – High Tea blog hop officially starts March 28th so if you’re here a little early, be sure to come back and see all of the projects the PCS design team has created for you.

Welcome to the Paper Crafters Sampler “High Tea” blog hop featuring our 3D teapot template from the March issue of the Paper Crafters Sampler entitled, “Orange Blossom Tearoom”.

With the current trend of tea images in the paper crafting world, it only seemed appropriate to offer a tea-related template, and that is our newest “High Tea” 3D, teapot.

Now-a-days, teapot come in so many sizes and shapes, it was easy to select one for my inspiration. What did you think of what I’ve created ?

I took my inspiration from pictures of Vintage French Enamelware Coffee Pots - I think they look more like modern day tea pots ;)  Here is my inspiration photo:

I did a fun little technique to get mine spotty and shiney :)  I first cut out the template and then went to town.  This template was very easy to put together and super fun!!  Here are some shots of it:

The lid even comes OFF!!!  And there is an opening in the spout to pour treats out of!

I had SO much fun embellishing this beauty!  Here is a close up of the flowers and hopefully a better picture of the finish of the tea pot :

There sure are some AWESOME tea pots on this tour - make sure to make your complete round through the tour.  If you started here, you can make the full round and end up here.

Make sure you visit all the design team members' blogs for fabulous ideas! As a "thank you", each design team member will randomly pick a winner to receive the Orange Blossom Tearoom issue for FREE! To enter, leave a comment on our hop posts by Friday. And join in the fun of making your own teapot!

Now, feel free to go back and take another at  Tiffany Bauer's teapot images or select the “Click Here” button before and hop on over to Karen Squire's  blog.

Have I told You Lately........

.....that I love this designer series paper???

I can't believe that it is available for such a short time - Sale a Bration Rocked!!  Only a few more days left.

I decided to do something a little different with the ribbon that is in the Everyday Enchantment collection.  We curled it like curly ribbon in club last month, I heated it with my heat tool wrapped around a pencil for the Limoge Trinket box a post or two earlier.  Wonder what I did with today's post????  Hmmmm.....

Well I have a scrapbook layout to share today.  I have VERY few pictures of my daughter and I together because I am the one always behind the lense......but one day I handed my camera to the hubby and he clicked a few pictures for me.  So I had to scrap it, right?  lol  Wanna see?

I just swoon over this pack of paper - {{sigh}}

Take a closer look at the flowers.  I used the mixed bunch punch and various flower dies in my big shot.

Did you see it??  Did you?
What I did with the ribbon???

Go back up and look again - now do you see?

Yes - I pierced circles on my layout and used the sale a bration ribbon to stitch on the layout.  cute?  right?

Well, thanks for checking in on me today - now to getr the little one out to the bus stop :)

Will you put it with a Fox?

Or will you put it in this box?

Sorry {blush} - could't resist.  :)

I bet you are really wondering where I am going with this........I know I sure would be.....LOL

Well - I have still been tinkering with the templates from Paper Crafters Sampler Library and I had to try one of the Limoge Trinket Boxes from 2011 Christmas Issue.  I mean -I had to - how could you not want to try one of these awesome boxes?

So - You wanna see my version of the Limoge Trinket Box?  I would love to share it with you.

I am really  - I mean REALLY - gonna miss the Sale A Bration designer series paper, Everyday Enchantment.  It is just so beautiful!

And not to mention that there is a coordinating pack of brads and organza ribbon that you can also get for FREE!  Here is a closer shot of the flower on top.

Did you see that curled up ribbon?  I took the ribbon and taped the end to a pencil (it was closest - looking for a round dowel rod was out of the question - lol!) and spiralled (is that a word?) it around the pencil and taped the other end to the pencil.  Then I pulled out my trusty Heat tool and heated it up.  Let it cool and took off pencil - PERFECT - cool curled ribbon.  {{luv}}

I would love your thoughts on this cutie -

Let the Light......

......Seed In!!!

LOL - did I get you there?  I bet you sang "Let the light shine in........"

Wonder where I am coming from with the light-seed talk?  Really?  I sure would be if I were you......I would maybe even think I have lost it........if I ever had "it" to lose - LOL!!!  Hehe!!!

Ok - I will explain......

I have another project to share with you from a template from the Paper Crafters Library.  I pulled out the Garden Lantern template from the April 2010 issue.  Want to see what I did?

I can't hear you.......let's try that again......

DO YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT I DID????

Alright - that's better ;)

I looked at the lantern and my mind went straight to bird feeder.  Yours did too, right?

I used window sheets for the lantern windows and even poked a little hole to put a stick (from my yard - I am SO in touch with nature - lol!) as a feeder spot - not sure if you can see that in the picture or not....but it is there ;)
I then did a patina technique on the roof part and let my birdies at it.  They look happy with it, don't they?

I would love to hear what you think about it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
