Click HERE for the new sneak peek orders!!

A tisket, A tasket....I love my Blooms and Basket....

LOL!!! I get more and more clever every day, huh? hehehe!!!

It is actually the baskets and blooms XL die that is exclusive to Stampin" Up for the Big Shot....But it didn't rhyme that way! lol!

Isn't that stinkin' cute!??!??!? I will be giving this to my daughter for Easter.....then I will take it off of her immediately so she doesn't pick it apart...lol!

The card base is chocolate chip. All of the designer series paper here is from Candy Lane....it not only works for Valentine's day, but I think of big chocolate bunnies and eggs when I look at it. So I pulled it out for a "nontraditional colored" Easter card.

I cut the basket out with the baskets and blooms die and the big shot...but that is not all....I then ran it through my big shot with the squares texturz plate. Have I mentioned that I love my big shot yet today???? I made grass by cutting slivers of chocolate chip and wrinkling them up and adhering it to the inside of the basket with sticky strip. I stamped the three eggs from various papers from candy lane and cut them out. I adhered the basket down with sticky strip and left it puffy in the middle. I punched the sentiment out with the word window punch and tied that to the riding hood red taffeta ribbon with linen thread.

Oh yeah...the cute little chick at the bottom....she, as well as all of the stamps here, is from A Good Egg. I paper pieced her shell and mounted her onto the scalloped circle.

Here is a different angle of the dimension and hopefully the texture.

Well...really...what do you think? Did I pull off an Easter card using maybe not so traditional Easter colors????

I am still Sale A Brating my mojo in the Spring....

Hehehe!!.....that was quite a title, huh? Well...let me explain. I am still celebrating Sale a Bration for 2 more days. It isn't too late for you to get the FREE goodies that Stampin' Up! has to offer...they outdid themselves this year, I think. I pulled the sketch from this week's mojo monday sketch challenge. And I am going to submit this to Shelli's blog for her Spring challenge. So, there you have it...my run on title does have a meaning....LOL!!!!

I absolutely love the FREE delicate dots designer series paper that you can earn during this year's Sale A Bration!!! I will miss it when it is no longer current :(

I have to be terribly quick with the deets today...I am running around here like a one armed stamper that has lost her ink! I colored the chick with a blender pen and ink refills....her little egg was paper pieced.....my three little flowers are from a very neglected, quite often overlooked three for you punch. I absolutely love this punch...but I forget about it....argh!!!

The sentiment flower was made from two layers of the five petal punch...one celery and one saffron. I stamped the sentiment by inking one word at a time with the stamp a ma jig. I adhered this flower down with pop up glue dots....Look at the dimension of that little baby:

here is a close gander at those three little flowers. I punched the centers out with the larger hole in the crop a dile and adhered them down with tombo mono multi.
Ribbon is white taffeta. card stock colors are so saffron, whisper white, and sahara sand.

Let me know what you think of this....I love this little chick.....

Blogger's Challenge

Hi All!

This week's blogger's challenge is to use dies/templates.....that is a no brainer for me...BIG SHOT BABY!!!!

My daughter's friend is having a birthday party next Sunday and I wanted to make something for her to hang in her new room or on her door. I will use this as a tag for the gift bag as well.

I have to be quick...I see Blogger is having an outage in about 15 minutes....argh!!

The panel is cut with on board long board that I covered with pink pirouette card stock. I ran it through my big shot with the top note die....gorgeous! I stamped it with a flower from petal pizzazz with versamark ink and embossed it with heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds. You can't go wrong with bling and more bling!!!

The initial, "O," was made from on board long board and perfect plum card stock. I cut it with my serif essentials alphabet die set. I ran a 2 way glue pen along the edges and used some fine cosmo glitter to adorn it. That was adhered with stampin' dimensionals.

I punched holes in the top corners with my crop a dile and set jumbo pewter eyelets that I sanded with my sanding block to shine the eyelet up....it is hard to see the difference in these pictures...but in real life...it is a difference, believe me :)
The butterflies were cut with my butterfly die. The bottom layer is pale plum and the upper layer is velum paper. I cut all four layers at once....that is what i {luv} about the big shot!!! Well...one of the things ;)
I edged the velum layer with dazzling diamonds and a two way glue pen. I adhered a small flat backed pearl from the pretties kit to the body. See the antennas???? They are flower stamens from the pretties kit that I adhered to the back of the butterfly's body. I adhered the butterflies down with pop up glue dots.

Look at all of this dimension!!!!!!
Oh yeah...the ribbon is white organdy ribbon....love that!!!

What do you think????? I absolutely love this......I sure hope the recipient loves it as well!

Ode to my retro fresh blue birdie........

Today's sketch was perfect for my little retro fresh birdie! I fell in love with the cheep talk set as soon as I saw it! I fall in love with almost everything, huh? lol!

So, without any delay....here it is:

Don't you love it??? I think it is super sweet!!!!

The designer series paper is from good morning sunshine. The card stock is kiwi kiss, pacific point blue and very vanilla. Every layer is on stampin' dimensionals.....no surprise there, huh? I pierced the outline of the background layer with my matt pack and piercer. I placed 5/16th inch chocolate chip brads in the corners...luv 'em! The branch, from cheep talk, was inked with markers, and then I stamped the branch leaves in old olive and cut them out and adhered each of them with a stampin' dimensional. My sweet birdie, also from cheep talk, was stamped with pacific point blue and then I cut it out and covered it with my two way glue pen and covered it in the blue glitter from supernova glitter. The sentiment is from On Your Birthday. See that adorable little flower???? It is also from cheep talk and I glittered it up the same way as the bird. I then adhered it with a chocolate chip flower brad-these brads are very substantial compared to the ones I have from the "big box" craft stores. I don't hardly ever buy anything from those stores any more....but I have heaps and heaps of it from a while ago. I have found that the quality of Stampin' Up's products are just superior to the others..... enough of my salt box...lol!

Here is a "bird's eye view"....pun intended!

Well....what do you think???

I forgot about my mojo last week......

...but I didn't let my monday mojo fly by this week! lol! Every Monday the mojo monday blog puts up a sketch....and I love sketches!!!!!! I have a heap of other things that need done, but I couldn't let it slide. And besides...my little one is now content cutting up paper with decorative scissors into tiny shreds while she gives me a moment's peace...lol! I have to take advantage while the novelty hasn't worn off yet! hehehehe!!!!

Anyway...back to my card today. I bought trendy trees on my first order of this new catalog and I haven't taken the time to even play with it until today......can you believe it???? I really like the new retro fresh style watch from Stampin' Up! (and I am not even retro....but don't tell anyone!) here it is:

There are somethings that are hard to see in these pictures.....argh!!!! The base is kiwi kiss. the background piece is chocolate chip stamped with the tree swirl in versamark and embossed with heat and stick powder and then adorned with chocolate chip glitter...I could make a bed out of this.....anyway, it is from the supernova collection. My designer series paper is good morning sunshine...love it!!! The tree is chocolate chip trunk and the leaves are glittered with the green glitter from supernova glitter collection as well....I also did the versamark/heat and stick powder/glitter method. The sentiment is from fundamental phrases. I punched it with the small oval punch and then matted it off set with my large oval punch. The button is from button latte.

Here is a different angle of the glitter....can you see it here????

Sorry to be so short today...Days of Our Lives is on in 10 minutes.....it is my daily indulgence if I am home.....could be worse, huh? Could be Vodka....would that be worse??? LOL!!!! I don't even drink really...I just like to joke about it!

Numerology???

Hi Stampers!
I have a super fun card to share with you today. My cousin's little guy turned 5 and I was inspired by a card on someone's blog...but can't find it again. They had used patterened paper for as lot of it, I think...I wanted to use all stamps :)

What do you think?

The card base is night of navy. The background piece is real red. I stamped big deal numbers all over it with versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. The horizontal black strip across the front on the original card was a black dymo label. I made mine by cutting a strip of basic black card stock and stamping the numbers from calendar alphabet and numbers with versamark and embossing with white embossing powder.

Ok...now real fun begins! I took my happy, happy birthday jumbo wheel and inked it up with stampin write markers. I won't lie...it was tedius...but I loved the results. I stamped it out onto whisper white and punched it out with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch. I adhered it down with stampin dimensionals. I took the 5 stamp from big deal numbers and stamped it with garden green ink before cutting it out and adhering it down with stampin dimensionals. Next I took the row of party hats stamp from party hearty and inked up a hat with stampin write markers. It is adhered with stampin dimensionals also....are you surprised??? lol!

Now you know I did the inside too.....hehehe!

What do you think? I really liked this card.....I hope you do too! :)

Blogger's Challenge - week 90

If you missed my card yesterday...please scroll down, I posted it late in the day :)

This week we were to create with texture......yummo!!!!

My brand new Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Die came yesterday afternoon....so I HAD to use it for today's challenge :) And I liked last week's color challenge so well, I decided to pull those colors out again :):):) I ran my card base through my big shot with the textured impressions die and the most beautiful embossing happened....right before my eyes! One thing I love about Stampin' Up!'s impression folders is that they are the actual size of a card front...unlike the cuttlebug folders, which are about a 1/4 of an inch too small......way to go Stampin' Up! Anyway...the base is sage shadow. I cut out the bottom portion of the card to accentuate the flowers. I then took my white craft pad and a sponge dauber and rubbed ink over the roses...it was completely experimental, but I really liked the results. Next I took a piece of close to cocoa and stamped the damask stamp from friends 24-7 along the bottom edge and adhered that to the card front. I then had to tie a bow with the white organdy ribbon - so delish!!!

Here is a closer look at the texture...it is hard to capture on film... :(
What??

You wonder where the entire sentiment panel came from??

Let me tell you....the Occasions mini - what a delight!

The "celebrate" sentiment is from matchbox messages. I just inked it up with my sage shadow stampin' write marker, omitting the frame that came with it. Then the oval border stamp is from Oval All - I inked it up with my chocolate chip stampin' write marker, omitting the rest of the stamp. I can really see myself mixing and matchig the borders and sentiments of these two sets alot! I then punched it out with the large oval punch...perfect fit! Then.........I punched a SCALLOPED OVAL from the upcoming scallop oval punch.....can you believe it???? I adhered that entire thing right under my bow.

What do you think??? I can't wait to get some more time to play with my new goods.....maybe later today.

I am in love all over again!!!!

No...I am not trading in my hubby.....I received my first shipment of preorder goodies from the Occasions mini catalog that begins April 1st. As soon as I saw Great Friend...among other things....I HAD to have it!!! I will try to refrain from using only it......but I won't make any promises! lol!

Kristina's color challenge was posted the other day...but I knew my new goodies were arriving today...so I held off on playing, until now!

Can you believe it???? Here colors this week are basic black, basic grey and whisper white?!??!?!? How much more elegant can you get???? I sure hope I captured elegance here...that is what I was aiming for! :)

I don't have a ton of time to get into deets...I have a club meeting tonight and I have to leave here in about an hour. (and I am not ready - my stuff is ready, but I am not... :) ) The designer series paper is Rockability - I think it is a collection that is very over looked. Who would know that there are white skulls on riding hood red background on the other side of this drop dead gorgeous already embossed striped black paper????? Oh....moving up....did you see that ribbon?? Oh yeah - sneak peek - white satin ribbon - Can I say d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. !!! OOooooo...did you see that frame stamp and sentiment, beautiful butterfly and the leaf branch - another sneak peek for you - Great Friend, coming in April....LOVE IT! Don't forget the flat backed pearls from the pretties kit....lovely!

Oh...is that a new punch???

NO!

lol!

It is from the new exclusive die called matchbox. It is an amazing die that not only contains the dies to whip up a match box style box in seconds.....but it also contains three other label shapes that coordinate with stamps!!!!! Does it get any better!?!??!??!? I mean - seriously!

It is hard to capture the dimension that I put into the butterfly, but here is a different angle of that.

And you know my "new thing" is to decorate the insides....

What do you think? I absolutely love this card!! I would love to hear what you think of it!

A sweet little gift

Hi Stampers!!!

I have soooo much new stuff to play with but I don't think I will get a chance today to play... :(

So, I will show you a little gift bag that I made a couple of weeks ago.
I bought these little brown lunch bag type bags at Target a while ago to make gift bags with my top note die. They are small and very smooth. You can find them in the gift bag section - definitely not an actual lunch bag!

I first stamped the "celebrate" from celebrate everything in versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I them stamped the "time to" in chocolate chip with my stamp a ma jig. On scraps of whisper white, I stamped the cup cake bottom, top and the little heart from big bold birthday and cut them out. I adhered them to the gift bag, mounting the heart on stampin dimensionals. I then folded down the top and punched two holes with my crop a dile to tie the ribbon through.

Isn't it sweet? For pennies I was able to make my own gift bag - you sure won't spend that little on a gift bag in the stores!

My Monday Mojo comes on Tuesday....

LOL!!

I have been dying to use my new die Flower, Daisies #2. It isn't my "newest die" per say...I did get an order in today....lol!

I just loved mojo monday's #77 sketch this week..so I had to play along even though I didn't get to it on Monday. :) So...pair a new die...new designer series paper...new accesssories...and a great sketch...and it all comes together!

I also must say that I am loving the new retro line....so fresh!

The card base is summer sun. Both layers of designer series paper is from good morning sunshine. I layered each of them with pacific point blue. The bottom layer has three new 5/16th inch white brads....I love these!!!!!

The sentiment is from fundamental phrases - that is really a "go to" set for me for titles. I stamped it with chocolate chip before tying a simple knot with 5/8th inch chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. I then took 2 layers whisper white and ran it through my big shot at the same time with my flowers, daisy #2 die. I fanned them out and layered them and then topped it off with the largest flower from the boho blossoms punch. I adhered all of those together with a summer sun corduroy button - have I mentioned that I {luv} the new corduroy buttons????? The top layer is mounted with stampin' dimensionals. I didn't take the time to decorate the inside today...but I will definitely be doing that before popping this baby in the mail :)
What do you think? I really like......

Blogger's Challenge 89

Hi stampers!!!
I have been having a ton of fun in my stamp room the last few days!!! I wish I were a night person.....I could really have some fun in there :)

This week for Blogger's Challenge we were to create with brown, sage and choice of neutrals. I really like sage but don't use it very often. It isn't my "go to" color...but when I use it, I really like it. I need to use it more :)

I immediately thought of "trees" when I pulled out the colors. Trees.....I could use my beloved lovely as a tree.....I could use my brand spankin' new trendy trees.....I could use my new love - thoughts and prayers......hmmmm......

Thoughts and prayers slid off my desk onto my foot.....there's your sign.....LOL!!!

The base is kraft. The sage shadow panel is stamped with sanded background in chocolate chip - is there anyone out there that hasn't bought this stamp yet????? If you don't have it...you gotta get it....it better never retire.....please :) I inked the leaves with the sage shadow stampin write marker and then "thumped" the leaves with always artichoke ( I know...not in the color scheme...but I used such a tiny bit....). I then traced the branches and trunk with the chocolate chip stampin write marker. That was stamped onto confetti cream. I matted it with a top note die that I cut with my big shot. I put two 5/16th inch chocolate chip brads in the upper corner. Before adhering that panel down onto the card with stampin dimensionals, I tied a piece of stitched chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon around the card front. I then stitched a latte button to the knot with linen thread. My sentiment is also from thoughts and prayers. I stamped it onto confetti cream and punched it with the curly label punch. I cut the sage shadow curly label free hand to create a mat.

I will give you a closer look at my tree....when I stamped it and pulled the stamp off...I even gasped...and I don't do that very often...LOL!!!!

Here is a peek at the inside...pretty straight forward. I didn't stamp the inside...there are so many reasons that you might be praying for someone.

What do you think? I would love to read your thoughts.....Happy stampin'!

Sweet baby!

Hi stampers!

I actually made this card yesterday...can you believe I cranked out two in one day???? I was amazed with myself. I pulled up Kristina's color challenge for the week and I just had to get making something with it. I need a few baby cards...so I thought it was perfect! Not to mention it was chocolate chip. close to cocoa, pink pirouette and whisper white........

I stamped the sentiment from congrats....FREE with a purchase of $50 or more during sale a bration....in chocolate chip on a close to cocoa base. The background panel is from the pink pirouette patterns pack. I flanked it with a piece of chocolate chip punched with the eyelet punch and a piece of whisper white punched with the scallop edge punch. I then matted that onto the card base and tied a piece of white organza ribbon around it, I had to add a sweet bow instead of a knot since it is a baby girl card... :) I stamped the lion and elephant in close to cocoa and the giraffe in pink pirouette onto whisper white before punching them out with my 1 1/4 inch square punch. While punching them out, I intentionally punched out what I wanted to hang over the edge of the square. I then stamped those same colors onto scraps. The lion was actually stamped three times - once in close to cocoa ( base lion) , once in pink pirouette ( the mane) and then in chocolate chip ( the face). The giraffe was only stamped twice in pink pirouette - once for the base and once for the cut out giraffe. The elephant was stamped three times - twice in close to cocoa 9 the base and the cut out) and then again in pink pirouette (the ear). Each layer of the animal was mounted with stampin dimensionals onto the whisper white 1 1/4 inch square. I then mounted those entire squares onto 1 3/8th inch square punches with stampin' dimensionals. I just love the animals in Wild About You...they are so versatile!!!!

Do you want to get a look at that dimension...it is so hard to capture it on a straight on shot....and you all know how much I like my dimension ;) !

I also got busy creating a cute card inside....wanna see???

let me know what you think......me and my mojo had good times yesterday... :)

I'm here for you .....

if you also need the courage to cut into your new packages of specialty designer series paper. I have been caressing my package of parisian breeze specialty paper since I bought it...at the release of this catalog! lol! Those of you who have these packages know exactly what I mean...they are G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. !!!

Anyway...I finally had the courage to cut mine today....now I have to order a new package....untouched! lol!

I love this stamp set, Friends 24-7. The bird is beautiful and the flower branch is so pretty...and the damask stamp...well...what would I need to say about that??? It speaks for itself.

My card base is baja breeze. The background panel is close to cocoa that I stamped with the damask stamp and then embossed it through my big shot with the stampin' up exclusive texturz plates. yummy!!! I then matted that with a thin layer of chocolate chip. It is hard to capture that texture in a picture...here is a closer look at that...can you see it?

See that beautiful parisian breeze specialty paper?? oooo....gorgeous!!! The horizontal panels were also matted with chocolate chip and then I placed two of the smallest chocolate chip corduroy buttons on one end. My bird panel was stamped once on the main panel and then again on a scrap of white confetti. I stamped it in chocolate chip ink and then carefully colored it in with a blender pen and reinkers, I wanted some of the ink to bleed so there was no need to worry about waterproof ink. I sut out my second bird and mounted him up on stampin' dimensionals. My sentiment was also stamped on confetti white and punched out with my 1 1/4 circle punch and then matted with a 1 3/8 inch circle punch of chocolate chip.

I am really trying my best to support the postal service with all of the layers and dimension lately. Lets' count them up....this card has 17 layers with inside and outside....not to mention the dimensionals and corduroy buttons :):):) Here is a shot of the dimension:
I did stamp the inside as well today. This is the flower branch from friends 24-7.

What do you think? I would love know :)

Just another Mojo Monday.....

whoooo...ooooohhhh...oooohhh.....wish it was Sunday ( not realy...)....whooo...ooohhh..oohh...that's my fun day......just another mojo monday! Sorry...I could not help myself!!! I can't get that song out of my head....I was hoping to get you in on it! lol!!!

I used Mojo Monday's sketch for today's inspiration. I am having so much fun with the delicate dots designer series paper from sale a bration...and the ribbon...delish!!!

Isn't that the sweetest little boat you have ever seen??? The card base is bashful blue. I stamped the sentiment in sahara sand along the bottom. Both the boat and sentiment are from nursery neccessities. It is very hard to see in the picture, but I scored a line from the fold to the sentiment. Both designer series panels are from delicate dots, free from sale a bration!! {luv} free!!! The larger on in the back I matted with whisper white and the vertical one is matted with sahara sand. I tied a simple knot around the vertical layer with the certainly celery poly twill ribbon...yep...you guessed it...from sale a bration!!!

Now for the main image panel. I started with a piece of whisper white card stock. I sponged clouds on it with bashful blue using the scallop circle punch as a mask. I then took two pieces of bashful blue card stock and punched the top randomly with the 3/4 inch circle punch to make "waves." I sponged them also. I then stamped my boat and cut it out. I mounted it up on stampin' dimensionals. The top layer of waves are also adhered with stampin dimensionals. I then matted that entire panel on certainly celery and then adhered it to the card with stampin' dimensionals...real shocker, huh? lol!! Here is a closer look at the boat and the dimension...you know I love the dimension!!!!

What do you think? I can't wait to give this to a new set of grandparents to a beautiful baby boy!

Sneek Peek!!!

Hi All!

I am hoping to get up into my stampin' spot a little bit today...but I wanted to pop in and share some exciting news with you!

The Spring mini catalog begins April 1st...but you are able to preorder a select number of stamp sets. It will give you a "jump start" on your Easter projects.... :)

Aren't these sets sweet????
