Blogger's Challenge - week 52! and BLOG CANDY!!!!

Men...men...men..men...manly men men....ooooo-uoooooo.....mmmmmennnnnn.......

Any of you watch 2 and a half men???? That song has been in my mind since I knew this week's assignment was to do a manly themed card.....lol!

My daughter always sings "I'm gonna be a cowboy baby...." every time she sees a cowboy hat...maybe I should have been thinking those words.... NO...my daughter doesn't listen to Kid Rock...ever....but she puts on a cowboy hat and we sing that line to her. Well...I sing that line to her. lol! So now she sings it.

Funny thing.....Yesterday my neighbor was mowing his grass and he had a hat on, not a cowboy hat...more of a golfing hat....and we were outside in the front yard (yard sale...) and she broke out in song..."Hey mommy! He's gonna be a cowboy baby!!!" I about died with laughter....I'm sure you had to be here....enough rambling! Sorry...can't help myself! Must be the 15 years I spent behind the hairdresser chair yapping!

I will confess though.....this card wasn't stamped this week.... I have been working feverishly on getting ready for my yard sale ( going on this weekend) and when the sale is over for the day my little is starving for me! So needless to say...I haven't stamped in over a week!! I know!!!! What has happened?!?!?!?!? But I haven't posted much and I feel bad about that! Today's card was actually submitted for an award...didn't win...but none the less...I still love it!

I can't go into deep detail today.....I am cramming this post in before I have to head outside.

Here is a close up of the brads...in the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit in the current mini. If you haven't gotten them this is the last week to get 'em....
I made brad washers like in my tutorial here, only I made them larger to accommodate the larger brads.....love it!

Wanna see more of that yummy hardware????

Here is a close up of that delish cowboy....my flash made it look like we were about to experience an eclipse! lol!!!

NOW FOR THE BLOG CANDY.........

I have to apologize...I have no picture....but....you will win a pack of Sale-a-Bration rub ons, a pack of adhesive rhinestone bling I found in my stash, a bracelet kit shown here, and a handmade card from me, little ole me!

What do you have to do to win???? Leave a comment on this post with your favorite organizational thing you do in your stamping space...if you don't have a favorite tip...leave a comment anyway....you can still win! I will drawn a random number with all of the entries on Tuesday night and post the winner here. Make sure you don't leave you comment as "annonymous" I won't know who the winner is. One comment per person, please.

WHAT? You didn't win with this card? It's fabulous and I love all the wonderful embellishments that accent your image so perfectly. Great job! ...and kuddos on the garage sale. I sooo need to have one, but hate the idea of all the work involved.

What a beautiful card! I love your accents and the colors are perfect.
My favorite organizational tip is for storing my scrap cardstock. I purchased a plastic hanging file box (large kind, no handle) and created a hanging file for all of our 48 colors plus neutrals. They are filed in color family order, two colors per file. I used the Tab punch to make cardstock tabs and stapled them to the top of the files. Now, my scraps have a home and I use up much more of my cardstock because I look there first!

What a fantastic card! Love everything about it.

Now for my organizational tip. I've got my SU cardstock stored in our Paper Holders by color family. I lay the holders on their side so I can just slide out what I need. Makes replenishing a breeze! Love the Stampin Stack & Store too. Great for all of our fun embellishements!

I check out your blog every day and enjo it soooo much! Yard sales are such hard work, aren't they? All of the sorting, folding, packing, pricing yuck! Anyway, I guess my tip would be plastic containers to hold scissors, extra adhesives, embellishments, etc. I also have a label maker and I label EVERYTHING!! I even label my punches, books, stamp sets etc. in case someone borrows them they know who to return it to. :-)

This card is absolutely stunning. I love all the hardware, and the background effect is amazing.

My favorite organizational tip: storing all my scraps. I have a file cabinet in my stamping studio...one folder for each color. My extra ribbon pieces are stored in an empty plastic Tootsie Roll jar from Costco.

In my eyes you are a winner!!!!!! I have had the opportunity to see first hand many, many of your creations and not only are they first rate they are also inspiring. It makes me wantto go home and stamp, stamp and then stamp some more!!!!!
As i am new to rubber stamping, I have no organizational tips to share at this time. Thanks to all that have posted tips...will help me before purchasing something.

Oh this is wonderful! - I just love anything western and again what's more manly then a cowboy!
Great card, love the colors and the hardware. Fantastic! - I am so not organized so leaving a tip wouldn't be effective in my case LOL. - Ida

Love your blog - would love to win some blog candy. My tip is for my punches (I am a punch maniac!!!) I bought a shoe organizer that goes over the door and I put my punches in that on the door of my roon. Love it....thanks for keeping us inspired by your creativeness.

LOVE the card! my organizational tip is for my ribbons: i use a 5-tiered trouser hangar to store my ribbon...works for me :)
thanks for your blog, i totally love it.

This card is amazing! You did a fantastic job! My best method of organization is the way I store my ribbon! I attached a dowel to the side of my desk and strung my ribbon spools on it. I can then find the ribbon without digging and I can pull out as much as I need! I love it! Thanks so much for the blog candy!

Great job! I love the whole card. As far as organizing -- I don't! YIKES and you probably think I am kidding. (I kind of am because I do try but I really really stink at it.) funny thing is my favorite and only organizing things that have worked for me are a gutter with end caps for my ribbons -- no dowel so it is easy to grab and go. And curtain rods for my punches. These are the only two things I love in my area, but of course they are over flowing and in need of additions so it still looks sloppy!

If this card didn't win, I'd like to see the one that did. You're work is great! I am so disorganized, but the best thing that I have done is to get a towel bar to hang my punches on. Of course, they don't all fit....now I just have to get the second one hung.

I love your card! It is really awesome! My fav orgainzation tip is for my paper. I have a high desk that I can slide a two drawer rolling file thingy under that I sort all my scraps of solid cardstock. My scraps of patterned paper and put in a basket next to my desk so I can easily see what I have. It has made a world of difference having files with my scraps!

I bought a clip it up and use it for my clear sets. They are so much easier to find.

Great blog ! Love that cowboy card. I like to store my most frequently used items right next to me, that way I'm not pulling things out of drawers when I need them.

What an absolutely gorgeous card! Definitely a winner in my eyes!

The best organizational tool I have ever bought for my stamping space is my label maker. Every photo box of supplies is labeled and everything has its place. All of my stamp sets get labels, too, to make them easier to read. When a set retires, I mark it on the label so I can tell at a glance which are current!

Love the card. Now I need to re-check my potential order for club night...too many things that I want. Really need to win the lottery!! I bought two of those plastic drawer units and store my stamp sets in them, with the sets on their edge and the name of the set up. Now I just open a drawer and can find any set at a glance...problem is, I need more units! Paris W.

The best thing I have done for organizing is to put all my Stampin' Up papers in a file holder by color families. I my newest one is the way I store my nesties. I have them in CD pages in a binder that I have put magnetic sheets in them labeled them all. I think this will be the best thing I have done for organizing in a long time. Thanks for the chance.

Beautiful card and good luck at your yard sale. I need to have one too! My tip is to label everything and organize my SU paper in color families. I cut the back page off of the mini catalog so I can cut and paste on the right drawer!!

I tagged you on my blog!

Oh I would love to win. My organizational tip would be to clean up after each day of crafting. My desk will get so messy cuz I don't always clean up..and the less I clean up the less space I have to craft :(
