For you...my friends!

Hi All!

I am almost recovered from stamp camp yesterday....I didn't say, though, that I was ready for clubs this week ;). Don't worry...I will be ready on time. hehehe!

I have been up almost all last night working on projects...but none that I can share just yet so I will show you a card I made a while back. You will be getting a mini tutorial as well.....now do you forgive me for being a bad blogger????? Hope so!

The card base is real red. I stamped it with Print Pattern Background (boy, oh boy will I ever be disappointed when this baby retires!) with real red ink. I too my white gel pen and made little dots where the diamonds touched. This is hard to see in the picture but I do really like this technique.

The main image is the flower from True Friends. I inked it up with my stampin' write markers in real red and old olive. It was stamped onto whisper white and matted on real red and night of navy. I pulled out one of my ice rhinestone brads and used it for my flower center. I absolutely love these brads....I MUST quit hoarding them! What is wrong with me??????

Now for the closeup of the bottom panel.....here is where you verbal tutorial comes in.

I took a piece of whisper white card stock and used stampin' sponges to pounce color onto it in real red and pixie pink. ( I know...what a combo, huh? But it seemed to work for this technique.) I next took the medallion from True Friends and stamped it with whisper white craft ink and embossed it with my heat tool and detail white embossing powder. Just when you think enough is enough.....it isn't! Next I took my versamark ink pad and covered the entire panel with the watermark ink. I embossed that entire panel with clear detail embossing powder. Kinda gives it a tapestry look. I can see me getting hooked on doing this with lots of my stamp sets!

After matting that bottom panel with another piece of whisper white, I adhered it to the card front. Next I tied a simple knot with night of navy 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon and accented that with a small piece of real red 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. I adhered the main panel with stampin' dimensionals. There you have it! What do you think?

Sorry the pictures are a little blurry....I am having a hard time with pictures lately....ARGH!!!!
**edited to add: this post was made Monday morning..that is why the days are off in my recovery ;)
